Task: Students will write a career development assignment report, containing a personal reflection on the role play and career development planning, demonstrating an understanding of the skills and knowledge which contribute toward working effectively, their readiness for employment, an understanding of personal strengths and areas for further development, as well as establishing their employment goals and develop a personal action plan/development plan.

The role play of both interviewer and interviewee will be the subject of a substantial piece of reflective writing to be incorporated into Task 2 under ‘Recruitment and Selection’ where you are expected to allocate 500 words for this section within the report, and applying an appropriate reflective cycle such as Kolb or Gibbs. Please note this is meant to be written from a personal perspective, with a focus on your own skills and skills gaps, your own career goals and your own experience. However, references to relevant external literature are also required.

Introduction to the context of career development assignment
I have a humble arrangement of work and individual abilities, which assists me with continually keeping the track and to resolve the challenges in the path for the accomplishment of every single objective I have set along the course of my life. Since the time I began this course, I had the option to improve my insight and attention to the expert world and my abilities and encounters.

In this role-play, the primary point to be talked about and dissected will be the pretend, which was separated into two sections where I and my accomplice needed to fill the role of a questioner and interviewee. This pretends executed during week 9 and 10 and endured 20 minutes for each gathering. Firstly, my accomplice needed to talk with me about the job of retail partner in a design store, and afterwards, I talked with her about the job of a waitress in a café of renown in the centre of London.

Moreover, a self-reflection role-play on the pretend will be made, and a self-awareness plan will be given by doing a SWOT examination. At the same time, this portfolio is going to present a personal development plan, including Johari Window and Smart Objectives, and SWOT analysis that has helped me to identify the needs and requirements regarding my career.

Reflection on the role play
Reflection is the technique of recognizing something that is being thought in a specific manner. To comprehend an occasion, we make an understanding of it. When we consequently utilize this understanding to direct dynamic or activity, then, at that point, making meaning becomes learning. The point of this task is to compose a self-study dependent on a pretend, and consider my qualities and limits that identifies with the hypothesis and information in regards to the utilization of correspondence and relational abilities, and how and when to assemble compatibility, compassion, tuning in, and undivided attention interchanges inside a pretend.

At the same time, I was participating in this role play with the intention to learn more about professional skills that can help me in future.

Furthermore, I went through the procedures of managing the overall condition of work within an organisation that helps in meeting expectations of consumers (Darcy et al. 2019). It is not possible for any person to gain competitive advantages within an organisational setting without having proper support from colleagues and teammates. It is no different in my case as I have developed my understanding on the process of becoming a better worker within the workplace environment. At the same time, the work environment also needs to be improved with the procedure of managing the entire process. This approach will help only in improving my potentiality as an entrepreneur in future. I have worked on my communication skill and the procedure of work to improve overall conditions regarding improving my career. It has also been identified that developing talents and strengths is another part of the role play that has helped me to become a better person with the procedure of self-knowledge and awareness.

Gibbs reflective cycle
“Gibbs' Reflective cycle model” is an effective tool, and it is being used in various situations. The model of reflection has helped the students verify and comprehend the analysis of the learning they have developed through the undertaking of the project (Makarenkoet al. 2018). For attaining high skills and higher knowledge, learning from past experiences and events is an integral part as it helps develop the sense of the mistakes made earlier and not repeat that. "Offers a structure for evaluating interactions, and given its cyclic nature lends itself especially well to recurrent encounters, allowing you to take in and plan from things that either worked out positively or came out poorly," says this model of reflection.

“Description”

I have tried to present my experience all through the role play, and my intention to develop skills and experience was fulfilled all through the scenario. My teammates and partners were no less important in this case as they have helped me to present my viewpoint and my quality of work to the supervisor. Moreover, each phase of Gibbs Reflective Cycle has helped me to explore my ability to work in a renowned organisation that can provide better services and care to the customers. In this concern, the description part has helped to understand the importance of the situation that I have faced.

However, my feelings are elaborated minutely in the second phase. In the third phase, I have evaluated what I have felt and what I have gone through while conducting the interview role play. On the other hand, the analysis part has helped me to identify what I needed to finish the work. Conclusion part is all about concluding my decision regarding what went wrong and what went right (Zorinaet al. 2018). On the other hand, an action plan has helped me to identify the importance of technical and soft skills to work in a place efficiently. Along with that, I have gone through transferable skills, practical skills, and cognitive and intellectual skills, and knowledge and understanding skills through working techniques and communication processes.

Readiness for employment
• Communication skill
I have identified my opportunity to improve my approach regarding reaching that can help me in future. For example, my hard-working approach will always help me to become better in future along with helping the entire team to stay better. At the same time, my communication skill has helped me to develop a better relation with consumers along with knowing efficiently what they want. It is worth noting that it is quite tough for an organization to reach the expectations of consumers without having employees with better communication skills. At the same time, this skill also affects the career of an employee. For example, every consumer is different from another, and in such a situation, it is crucial to identify what they actually want. Along with that, my working capacity even under pressure has always helped me to improve my critical thinking abilities along with non-verbal communication. At the same time, I had a little knowledge on work ethics that can help me in future to work more efficiently. From that concern, I require to delve into understanding and practicing work ethics effectively. This approach will help me to improve my overall personal and professional development.

• Professional skills
This analysis has also helped me to understand opportunities that can help me in future to expand my talents and skills along with experience of working in specific organisations towards different industries. Opportunity in this analysis always comes with some threats of competitors. However, I find myself ready for employment as I have worked on developing the skills that can help me in becoming more professional in future. At the same time, I also have the opportunity to work more efficiently in the future by setting objectives and goals along with a vision regarding better professionals in my selected area.

• Analytical skill
Most importantly, this analytical procedure has helped me to improve my self-awareness that has improved my potentiality through the procedure of work efficiently. I would never become a better worker and person in professional life without having proper support from my teammates to know myself in a better way. “Personal development plan”

SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis is referred to as the tool which is being used in various companies for essential planning and management (Vala, 2017). A SWOT analysis is a basic yet effective technique for developing your business strategy, whether starting a firm or leading an established one. “Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT)” are the acronyms for the word SWOT.

My swot investigation will be founded on the situation of retail collaborator for the Redlux design store: “Strengths”

As recently referenced, I accept that I have a hidden arrangement of abilities that I also consider my qualities. I do believe myself to be dependable certain, tireless, and meticulous in all that I do (Sekarwinahyuet al. 2019). I accept having extraordinary relational abilities that I can use to convince any customer to adore our items. I work productively under tension and have discrete critical thinking abilities.

“Weaknesses”
My shortcomings are very not many. When furious, I can't handle my non-verbal communication, which I recognize to be a negative angle I need to improve. Likewise, I trust I am very anxious about paying attention to specific clients when the store is occupied.

“Opportunities”
Developing a diverse set of talents will improve my working prospects and form more connections in the fashion industry. Similarly, completing my research would enable me to boost my job prospects.

“Threats”
With the Pandemic, we face the risk of losing or gaining employment, and even if we do get a job, the duty may increase due to many helpless people (Adeaniet al. 2020). Furthermore, when I finish my degree and am ready to start my firm, I am aware of the significant competition I will face.

Smart objectives
Goals are an essential component of operations as they give motivation, direction, and preciseunderstanding. A SMART goal referred to the goal which is used to aid goal planning. “SMART stands for an acronym that is "Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely" (Pecherkina, and Sergeeva, 2020). Therefore, the SMART goal integrates all the factors that help focus the efforts and enhance the chances of success. The SMART strategy is frequently described as the standard for developing clear, quantifiable goals and objectives in administration.

I will introduce a system of my Smart objectives, which will enhance my future career, after carefully researching and surveying my talents and abilities.

“Specific”
My long-term goal is to start my line of company when I finish my exams.

“Measurable”
My goal is quantitative that it can be calculated.

Achievable”
It is, in fact, a possibility. My activity schedule is quite detailed. My family and I have been putting money away for the firm's start-up, and I will also ask the bank for a credit (Heffernanet al. 2018). In addition to progressively climbing up the fashion industry ladder, I've been attending numerous seminars to help me hone my skills and have a better understanding of the industry. Furthermore, by doing so, I will be motivated to form more positive relationships.

“Relevant”
Pareto 80-20 Rules is a cycle that aids you in concentrating on the most important exercises that should be completed each day; it will also assist me in focusing on the primary goal by completing the foundation and achieving a fantastic result (Avidov-Ungar, and Tsybulsky, 2019). "The Pareto principle has stated that 80 per cent of the effects arise from only 20% of the causes in various cases."

“Timely”
In the upcoming years, I have planned and will work hard to complete the goal I have set to achieve in the future.

Johari window
The “Johari' window model”is considered an effective tool for achieving the objective and the goal for better communication and understanding between the team members. This paradigm was established in the year 1955 by “American psychologists Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham” (Radkevych, and Aleksieieva, 2019). The model was invented due to the outcome of the group dynamics at the "University of California”. Then it was modified by the person named “Joseph Luft". This model has created self-awareness among the individuals; this model is also known as the disclosure or the feedback model (Hirschi, 2018). The Johari Window paradigm is a strategy for increasing self-awareness and allowing others to comprehend one's emotions and information.

Open
I feel that the abilities or being determined in all I do, reliability, and strenuous effort are the qualities that I and everyone else know about me. Most people are aware that I am tenacious and diligent. Also, everyone is aware of that quiet but extroverted individual.

Blind
I don't realize about myself, but others do, is that I am a selfless person who always believes in helping the people in need, even if it means spending my own money. Some claim I'm a keen observer who pays close attention to details.

Hidden
I am passionate, prideful, and sentimental, and I do not accept excessive sarcasm, among other things I know about myself that others do not.

Unknown
What I don't know about myself and others don't know about me is that I forgive too soon and trust too easily.

Personal Action Plan
My present place

At this point, my hard work and spirit to achieve goals can only help in improving the procedure of managing my career development approach and professional skills. It is not possible for me to reach my professional development goal of becoming an entrepreneur in the field of fashion cannot be achieved without considering my qualities of being extrovert. At the same time, I need to accept myself as I am along with my hidden and open qualities (Vlados 2019). In this case, an open approach and attitude only help to reach the goals that I have identified when it comes in developing better career and profession. Professional approach of my career development is the only part of managing my goals and approaches to reach my destination. I always intend to reach the goals from my personal level to professional by going step by step.

Identifying specific career goals
My approach towards collaborating with others to reach a shared goal within an organisation has always helped me to get appreciation from others. It is no different in the case of completing the role play; I have implemented my communication and collaboration skills to satisfy the needs and demands of my other teammates. This approach of mine has helped me to become the favourite of my teammates along with getting help from them whenever I am in need. Most importantly, this approach of mine has helped me to know that this quality of mine will help me even in future to reach the professional goals by getting help from my employees. At the same time, I will become a better leader in the future in my own fashion company by implementing my knowledge and understanding skill of managing people.

Process of accomplishing goals
I know very well that I am not an egoistic person; however, I am proud of my capacity to work efficiently along with my caring approach to others. At the same time, it is difficult for me to face excessive criticism and sarcasm in anyone’s words (Hajizadeh, 2019). It is worth noting that I have explored my quality of being exceptionally sensitive to any situation and words of people while completing the role play. Along with that, I would not ever come to know about my attitude towards work when it comes to completing any task passionately.

I complete every work minutely and I like detailing in every task that I get. Furthermore, my approach towards work ethics has helped me to understand the necessity of meeting the needs and demands of people on the basis of the requirements of the environment. People, planet, and profit are equally important to me when it comes to work compassionately. From that aspect, this quality of mine is hidden from others, and it is only known to me.

Timebound
It is an undeniable fact that there were lots of factors about my character that were unknown to me; however, I came to know about them while working in the role play. However, it will take more than two years for me to reach my goal that can help me to meet my expected outcome. For example, I developed my understanding regarding the places and aspects of my character that are unknown to everyone. For example, I identify that I can forgive any person easily along with trusting them without thinking twice (Ramaniet al. 2017). However, I think that I need to work on this aspect and prepare myself to analyse every aspect of life and procedure to complete the task of managing people without wasting time. This aspect can affect my future behaviour and approaches towards managing the entire procedure of work.

Conclusion
In this paper, I concluded that knowing oneself is critical. To fulfil all of my objectives, I must improve my talents and character. In addition, I believe that the role play that we did in class and that we discussed here has helped me realize my strengths and shortcomings and my full potential.There are many challenges and issues being faced while performing the task, to overcome the challenges a proper management is required. From the whole project that has been made, it can be concluded that proper strategy and planning is very essential part in performing a task.
