Answer

1. Describe anxiety disorder
The current healthcare assignment presents a discussion on anxiety disorder. Anxiety in an individual emanates from extreme worry and fear temporarily. It is often seen as a bodily response towards stress, apprehensive anticipations, tensions, and nervousness. As observed by Holland (2018), though the anxious feeling is normal in human beings, it takes the form of a debilitating disorder if fear, stress, and worry happen to constantly shroud the mind of the individual and restrains him from engaging in his daily activities properly. Therefore, anxiety disorder is known to be one of the most common emotional disorders and overwhelms the individual in case of extremely stressful situations leading to negative and impactful detrimental health implications. In the words of Bhargava(2020), anxiety disorders could be evidenced through several types like panic disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, phobias, social anxiety disorder, anxieties caused due to separation and medical treatments, agoraphobia, and selective mutism.

2. Describe three key features of anxiety disorder
2.1 Impact One:

a) Identify one impact of anxiety disorder
One of the most pernicious impacts of anxiety disorder is on human cognition. This leads to the altered and misbalanced cognitive performance of the individual.

b) Describe how this impact affects a person’s health and wellbeing
Imbalanced cognitive power and cognitive dissonance in an individual ought to affect the person mentally and physically. This is because the lack of cognition in humans results in deteriorating concentration and attentiveness towards any work, weak memory, lack of control over one's actions and unresponsiveness. All these affect the person's capabilities to proficiently work in his professional and social environment further stressing the individual mentally leading to negative mental health. Therefore, it threatens the person's wellbeing out of the malfunctioned cognitive process due to anxiety disorder (Robinson et al., 2013).

2.2 Impact Two:
a) Identify the second impact of anxiety disorder
In the course of responding to acute predictable threats or fear, a person might also suffer from high blood pressure. This is another detrimental health impact of anxiety disorder.

b) Describe how this second impact affects a person’s health and wellbeing
High blood pressure is experienced during bouts of anxieties that induces serious cardio-vascular disorders and thereby, increases the scopes of heart diseases. In addition to this, high blood pressure inflicts the person with increased heart palpitations that could lead to cardiac arrests in the most extreme cases including heart diseases and breathing problems like the person starts breathing in short, rapid, and shallow patterns. Unhealthy breathing patterns negatively impact the person's wellbeing asitrestricts efficient blood supply to the brain and thereby leading numbness, dizziness, or unconsciousness (Leonard, 2018).

2.3 Impact Three:
a) Identify the third impact of anxiety disorder

Gastrointestinal disorderis also known to be a prominent side-effect of anxiety disorder.

b) Describe how this third impact affects a person’s health and wellbeing.
The gastrointestinal disorder has the propensity to disrupt the normal lifestyles of an individual. This is because gastrointestinal disorders generating from extreme anxieties and uncontrolled fear could be lead to irritable bowel syndrome and upset stomachs. Therefore, severe cases of anxiety disorder could lead to chronic excretory and digestion problems underpinned by vomiting, stomach ache, stomach bloating, and abdominal cramping (Legg, 2020).

3) a) Describe in detail the Recovery and Hope model
Taking reference from the words of Maddock& Hallam (2010), recovery in a person gets speedier when he nurtures the hope in them that better days are coming and he would be soon recovering and find him in his best health. This approach starts with treating the affected person with efficient clinical facilities and appropriate medication as well as instilling the belief in the people that could get better with their self-will and efforts and eventually reorganise their life as they wish for a healthy future. 3b) Describe in detail for choosingthis model for explaininganxiety disorder

Since as per the documentation of Lyon (2021), the recovery and hope approach is quintessentially person-centred, it could be ascertained that this model is contingent to explain the anxiety disorder. This is because anxieties in a person could be alleviated if the person could be assured of a full and satisfying life ahead. This could be done by making the personal belief that no impending threats are approaching him or that even if an apprehensive situation of fearful circumstances are inevitable ahead, he has the efficacies and competencies to get through it. Therefore, giving hope for better and stable times despite present anxieties along with making the individual realise his own potential, will, urge, and capacities could empower the individual to retain his presence of mind to navigate across the stressful situations and worries of life.

4) Describe the application of this model to a service user with anxiety disorder.
From the aforementioned discussions, it has been understood that the recovery and hope practice entails an emphatic approach wherein the personalisation of the healthcare services is essential to cater to the suffering patients in-depth. This is because empathy, interpersonal understanding, and absolute care could help the suffering person to come out from the dark depths of stress, fear, and even traumatic experiences and all that emotional turmoil that generates anxieties. Therefore, the application of the model of recovery and hope to treat people with an anxiety disorder could be deemed as a significant intervention strategy. To ensure faster recovery, the service provider needs to get an insight into the roots causes of the anxieties in the service users. Then apart from ensuring the right medication and treatments to physically recover from the diseases and discomfort caused by the anxiety disorders, the mental well-being of the service users could be considered and enhanced by addressing the anxiety issues interpersonally. By lowering the mental pressure of the service-users and reinforcing the cognitive assonance with the treatment process with an underlying faith in the service provider’s hopeful words and assurance, the recovery process of the patients diagnosed with the anxiety disorders could be accentuated. Therefore, in this way, the approach of the recovery and hope model could be implemented for treating patients with anxiety disorder.
