Answer

Introduction
The emotional intelligence assignment consists of a level of emotional intelligence and its comparison from several tests. An emotional intelligence test will be completed to represent its results while comparing the results and analysis (Khaton 2018). The results obtained from the analysis on emotional intelligence assignment are compared based on the Johari Window Model. I have provided the test links to two of my colleagues who will provide test results. I have completed my test and will analyze the results based on the two test links provided by my friends. The source of survey results are Global emotional test results and mind tools.

Part 1 Comparison of results
Johari Window Model helps to focus on the individual’s perception and the model is based on trust that reveals overall results. The two tests that I have completed will be represented in this model.

The first test that was undertaken was the Global EI Test and the second test was an emotional intelligence test (Refer to appendix 1). The results of the test are presented in a table to make it easier to understand the results. The results of the test that I completed and the results of the test of my colleagues who evaluated me are represented herein emotional intelligence assignment.

emotional intelligence assignment

Source: (Saxena 2015)

  • Open: The information about self-emotional intelligence skills and personality is known by others while focusing on self-awareness is in the open quadrant (Patricia 2015). In this quadrant, I and my colleagues are aware about my attitude and my behavior. This is the open arena in which effectual and dynamic results are evaluated. My emotional intelligence result is 50, my friends result shows 56 and 55 score while evaluating my emotional intelligence (Refer to appendix 2).
  • Blind: The research on emotional intelligence assignment signifies that in this state, the emotional intelligence attributes of self is not known to self, but is known to others. This happens when people copy from significant personalities unconsciously (Irtaimeh 2018). While analyzing the results, I addressed that I have little knowledge of self-management which scores to 3 but my colleagues are aware that I manage my work and life, therefore, they have analyzed in the test by revealing the results with 6 scores. Even in relationship management, I scored 2 while my colleagues scored 9 and 5 while evaluating me in managing the relationship.
  • Hidden: In this quadrant, I feel that I have social-awareness skills but my colleagues are not aware of my skills therefore the results differ. In the test, I got 7 scores, while my colleagues evaluated 4 and 8 scores in their tests while evaluating me.
  • Unknown: in this quadrant, the results are not known by self or by others. It is a mysterious state. Self-awareness is the unknown quadrant.

Part 2 Analysis of strengths and weaknesses
In the present scenario of emotional intelligence assignment, my strengths and weaknesses are analyzed while I provided the test and I scored astonishing result.

Strengths: The results from the test provided me effective learning and experience. From the results, I have qualities of self-awareness and social awareness. I thought that I am weak in these aspects, but when I received my results, I have all the good qualities of working in group, self-awareness and confidence. I properly manage things and I interact with people and help them when they need my help. My strengths lie in presenting my work and managing relationship. My emotional intelligence score as per my test is 50 from the emotional intelligence test. I know work attributes therefore, I enjoy and ensure social awareness. I manage team effectively and ensure team performance. I have social skills and motivate people; therefore people enjoy my company and are emotionally connected with me. As per the investigation conducted to prepare this emotional intelligence assignment, leadership is one such skill which is hidden but I need to get along and learn self-management.

Weaknesses: I underrate myself and I am not confident enough. When I started with the test I felt confident but as and when I completed the test I was confused and underrated my score while feeling tense. This attitude shows that I need will power and positivity in my life so that I can move to my goals and achieve my career objectives effectively. Being tensed and unconfident will make things worse. Negativity results in failure, therefore positive work-life balance will engage in success and development. I need to practice self-management and relationship management which will bring my emotional intelligence to a point which will help me to maintain sustainability.

Part 3 Competencies
Core competencies that I would like to develop to function as a global citizen are decision making, excellent communication skills, leadership, and results orientation. I will develop these competencies to focus on my future goals and career. These competencies obtained in this section of emotional intelligence assignment will fill the gap and will help to engage in positive results (AlHrassi, Al-Lozi & Irtaimeh 2016). Decision making and leadership will help me to be positive as the critical analysis is done while making effective decisions. Leadership quality will help to focus on team management and engage in group management (Eldakak 2014). I will work on result orientation as it will help me to achieve my goals and will motivate me to see fruitful results. I will become ambitious and will increase my level of motivation which will demonstrate a problem-solving attitude.

In a culturally diverse global organization, my colleagues will have different cultural values; therefore they will not be able to understand my emotions. At this point, I need to have good communication skills and will ensure effective decision-making criteria to make things better and to solve organizational problems. Another example that states the importance of leadership and result oriented are workplace diversity issues. Employees in an organization always seek results with a leadership attitude, therefore people need to be result-oriented and maintain a good relationship while leading the team to solve the problem of diverse culture difference and organizational results (Joyce 2012). Personal and professional relationships should be considered on a different basis and work-life balance should be maintained effectively.

Conclusion
The emotional intelligence assignment consists of the detail of emotional intelligence results based on two different tests undertaken by me and two of my colleagues. The results are presented in a table form while the results helped me to focus on the positive aspects and my strength at work. I underrated my results of emotional intelligence while my colleagues know me better and have confidence in me in terms of relationship management, self-awareness, social awareness, and self-management. From the score, it seems that while answering the 15 questions, I scored 50 while my colleagues rated me with 55 and 56 from the same test. I will improvise my competencies and will engage in effective development which I learnt from the new insights. For engaging in positive life attributes, core competencies that I need to make sure our decision-making skills, leadership, result-oriented, and effective communication. Professional development plan developed in the above segments of emotional intelligence assignment will help me to achieve core competencies at a given point of time.
